If the election were today, Kerry would win by five points, capturing all the blue states plus Ohio and Florida. Click on some of the polling links to the right and you'll see what we mean.
If the election were today we could save lives in Iraq. But it's not and so they continue to die because of Bush's poor planning and complete lack of leadership.
One can't be too excited about the reasons for Bush's collapse in the polls. They are related directly to the crisis overseas and post-Vietnam, Americans know a failed foreign policy when they see one. We were supposed to have learned our lessons 40 years ago in the jungles of Southeast Asia, but apparently we haven't. Now that the rationale for war has turned out to be a lie promoted by Defense Department officials and the Bush Administration, Americans simply don't support the initial decision to go to war and they are holding Bush responsible.
So, we wait for November and our chance to set a new course for the country. Election day 2004 can't come soon enough.
