His utter fearlessness made him a hero. The first Altman film I ever saw was M*A*S*H, but the one that really reverberated with me was Images.
I've seen The Long Goodbye more times than I can count, and with every viewing I still find something new. Among his more recent films, The Company is one I watch over and over.
Look at this list; I can't quite believe there won't ever be any more.
