The reverse of 2000

There seems to be some empirical proof that expectations are quite high for Bush to win the debates. Norm Ornstein just said on CNN that Kerry needs to not just win on debate points - as he did against William Weld - but that he needs to appeal to Americans as a likable guy, and clearly explain his positions. A CNN online article states: Onus on Kerry.
With a couple funny lines and a smile, Kerry can exceed expectations and even if he fights Bush to a draw on debate points (in the warped minds of the mainstream media) Kerry will win. Mydd thinks so, too.

This makes Dan Bartlett's recent attempts to say his boss is dumb sound a wee bit desperate.
