Health Scare

Progressives are being willfully obtuse on this. If we're afraid to shout it out, fine. But the clear implication of an Edwards/Clinton style health care plan is that by enticing people who currently don't have health insurance into a government run plan that presumably offers comprehensive benefits and a lower monthly payment, fewer will opt for private insurance. The ultimate result of the Clinton and Edwards' plans would be to put government in a position to compete for the uninsured. If they win, ultimately our private health care system and it's excess costs and waste can finally go R.I.P.
