As Senator Clinton points out...small military victories here and there do happen, but it's years too late and it's quite clear that the political situation in Iraq is getting worse not better. And since there's not much point in having the American Army sit in the middle of a civil war it's time to come home.

Not that there won't be consequences to a U.S. troop withdrawal, but the concern people like Loopy John McCain now show for the stability of the region is awfully hard to take seriously when that concern was nowhere to be found prior to our invasion.
