Sirota is correct, although in the case of Romney's sons - it was really Romney who stepped in it. Instead of comparing his sons' efforts on his campaign's behalf to what the soldiers in Iraq were doing, he could have just made the point he ended up making later, namely that we have a volunteer military and his sons had made different choices. They're grown up and certainly have that right.
