Lessons from '04

The biggest advantage for someone like Obama who was clearly against the war from the beginning is it frees him up to talk about other things. Hillary and even Edwards (yes, despite writing "I was wrong") will be forced to talk mostly about their votes, Obama can talk about other things. Sure, he wasn't in the Senate, but he also called it a "dumb war" when all his current opponents in the presidential race were reaching for various justifications in voting for the IWR.
