Eric Boehlert has an excellent column up at Media Matters about the frantic media hype of the latest Bush poll numbers' (dead cat) bounce.
When I'm feeling particularly tinfoilish I imagine this is all cover for the next great election theft. Any poll numbers ending up within the margin of error - who's to say? Not to mention the standard republican tactic of trying to dishearten the opposition in hopes of depressing turnout.
Chins up, thinking citizens. Don't let them get to you. The only remedy is democratic landslides all around.
