Warner in '08?

Of the three Democratic governors most often mentioned as possible Dem nominees for President: Richardson, Vilsack and Warner, Richardson has said he won't run, Vilsack is pretty bland, but Warner seems to be making some early moves.

I always thought the guy would have been an intriguing VP pick for Kerry. Democrats need people like Warner to run for President. Whether he becomes the nominee or not, he can help expand the appeal of the Democratic Party: he's southern and a Governor of a red state - two things we haven't had since, well, Bill Clinton.
