Ugh

So I guess we're back to the sorry spectacle of leading lefty blogs defending every weird utterance out of Dean's mouth.

In my opinion, none of what Dean says matters. People just don't care about what the chairman of a political party says except occasionally in the heat of an election year. But for leading Dems to take to the airwaves to denounce Dean is depressing, but hardly indefensible. Everyone remembers Wesley Clark fumbling his response during the New Hampshire debate when asked about something Michael Moore had said.

Still, all that matters is if Dean produces results next year. It is simply way to early to judge whether the reforms he intends to put in place and the inspiration he has brought to some people in the Democratic party will pay off.
