Time out to state the obvious

There's been a whole lot of handwringing in the press lately about the military's inability to fill their ranks with new voluntary recruits.

Well, duh. Let's connect the dots.

1.Deaths up in Iraq.
2. Reserves stretched beyond endurance.
3. Reserves retained by fraud.
4. BushCo lied us into an unnecessary war, semantics notwithstanding.
5. Callous treatment of soldiers suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Bottom line: Let's say you have a child the right age to serve. Would you want to place that child's life in the hands of this commander-in-chief?
