Bush isn't getting enough attention

So thinks the The Note. After a long intro explaining some of the reason why, but leaving out the most obvious - like, he's mired in problems of his own making which hardly justifies blaming the Democrats - Halperin dramatically proclaims:

And/but/to/be/sure, Mr. Bush's remarks at last night's Presidential Dinner would have, in other circumstances, drawn bigger and "better" coverage.

Simply put: He Fought Back.

Substitute should for would and you pretty much get The Note Worldview.
