Get your talking points here.

I've got to tell you that, by and large, I'm not a huge fan of Ed Schultz and his left-wing-Rush-Limbaugh shtick. I have a low tolerance for macho bluster. I think he's been unfairly critical of John Kerry and ridiculously enamored of Hillary Clinton. That said, I think he offers a unique service by demonstrating to the macho blusterers out there that you can be loud, opinionated, and macho and be a Democrat too.

A few minutes ago he produced a rant that ought to be taped and delivered into the ears of every Democrat in congress. I wish I had it memorized, but the main points were,

Tom DeLay is a phony.

He may say he's a Christian, but he doesn't vote like a Christian.

Does a Christian send someone to war and then not care for him when he comes home?

Does a Christian vote against health care for children the elderly?

Does a Christian vote to make the rich richer and the poor poorer?

There are your talking points, courtesy of Big Eddie. Go forth and repeat till they SINK IN.

P.S. Note to John Kerry's staff: Please get Kerry booked on the Ed Schultz Show ASAP. Please????? He can handle Imus; he can handle Ed, too.
