Romney News

Mitt (I'm Not Running For President) Romney made local news by hiring former Bush campaign flack Julie Teer for his new spokesperson.

"It is no coincidence that Gov. Romney has a press spokesperson with presidential campaign experience," state Democratic Party spokeswoman Jane Lane said, referring to Romney's newest spokeswoman, Julie Teer. Lane predicted Romney will use Teer for his "presidential campaign."

Democrats have slammed Romney for his many out-of-state trips, accusing him of focusing on a 2008 presidential run rather than his Bay State duties.

Teer, 29, was Bush's campaign spokeswoman during the 2004 Granite State primary. She also has worked for several GOP senators, including New Hampshire Sen. John Sununu and Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania.
If he does run (wink wink) in 2008, he probably shouldn't count on a lot of home base support. The latest poll numbers are not pretty.
