Iran II

Apparently, Iran was the real winner in last month's Iraqi election. Of course it's hard for the U.S. to complain since we have to respect the results of Iraq's historic election but if we're going to spend $300 billion and counting, shouldn't we do it in a country that won't simply become an ally of one of our worst enemies? After all, in the 80s we paid Saddam to fight Iran and now we've removed Saddam and installed a government friendly to Tehran. Oh...the irony.
