Debka estimates turnout to be closer to 40-45% as opposed to the 60-70% reported in the American press - mainly Shiites and Kurds with 55% being women. They also allege there was some serious vote rigging on the part of the Kurds in Kirkuk to inflate their numbers in the national assembly.
