As per our discussion yesterday, it strikes me that Reid may have found some effective language regarding Iraq:

In remarks at the National Press Club, Reid said that Sunday's elections in Iraq marked "a first step in helping figure out a way that the U.S. can get out of Iraq … We have to figure out a way to remove ourselves from there with dignity."

It's essential that for Democrats to emerge as a party with a clear alternative to the policy in Iraq, me must start by stating that the goal is to bring the troops home.
