Kerry introduces health care legislation to cover all children up to age 21. To pay for it he proposes rolling back the tax cut for those Americans making over $350 million a year.
Not to be cynical, but what chance does such logical legislation have these days? First of all, would Republicans ever consider actually paying for something by rolling back even a portion of the tax cut that goes primarily to the rich? Doubtful. Secondly, how sad is it that something that could actually help millions of children in this, the richest of nations, is probably destined to be little more than a political distraction for an administration that is obsessed with war and wrecking social security?
