The Unexplained Exit Poll Discrepancy: Part I

Buzzflash has an updated version of Dr. Steven F. Freeman's earlier paper on the exit polls discrepancies. Dr Freeman says
"As much as we can say in social science that something is impossible, it is impossible that the discrepancies between predicted and actual vote counts in the three critical battleground states [Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania] of the 2004 election could have been due to chance or random error."
The revised edition of his paper is being published in two parts so as to get the information out into the public domain faster.

Meanwhile, Keith Olbermann is back from vacation, and still on the story. He did an informative interview with media whore Howard Fineman, who seemed quite dispirited at the idea of an Ohio recount,
“There in fact will be a recount,” Howard said with a sigh that encapsulated all of the Florida 2000 Experience. “We will be talking about chads once again.”
If you are following this story at all closely, you should be watching Countdown every night and checking Olbermann's blog, Bloggermann regularly. He seems genuinely interested in the story, and has been encouraging readers and viewers to email him. To date his mail has been running 25 to 1 in favor of his coverage.

You might also want to take a look at Maureen Farrell's excellent piece for Buzzflash on the post-election period titled Election Angst Update: Clark Kent Vs the Media Wimps. Hint: Clark Kent is Keith Olbermann.
