Spitzer for Governor

We'd like to kick off the 2006 online campaign season with our hearty endorsement of Eliot Spitzer for New York Governor. It's time we ran that Bush-loving Pataki out of there and put a Democratic Governor in charge, just like a solidly blue state should have.

A few words about Spitzer. He's currently an undeclared candidate but everyone believes he will run now that Shumer has said he will stay in the Senate. Spitzer endorsed Kerry early in the primary season (before mini-super Tuesday on February 3), as noted below, because of Kerry's leadership in the wake of the mutual fund scandal. Spitzer has forced many of New York biggest brokerage houses to own up to all the crooked stuff they did in the bull-market 90's. He's a dedicated public servant and a protector of the little-guy not to mention one of the toughest Democrats around.

Here are our boys together in New Mexico, where earlier this year Spitzer endorsed Kerry for President.

For now, surf his site, throw him a few bucks and sign-up on his email list. It's never too early to begin looking ahead.
