Vote for Change

I do hope they're planning to release last night's marathon Vote for Change live Vote for Change concert on DVD. Hosted by the Sundance Channel, it ran over 6 hours intercut with documentaries. While it had its lulls, there were some stellar performances, among them:

James Tayor singing "Sweet Baby James" with the Dixie Chicks doing backup vocals

The entire R.E.M. set

Bruce Springsteen and Michael Stipe singing "Because the Night"

Pearl Jam doing Dylan's "Masters of War"

John Fogerty

When it all ended I felt hopeful. And uplifted.
