The punditocrisy

I was watching ABC's This Week and was struck at just how ridiculous they all sounded - particularly Cokie Roberts and George Will. The two conservatives (yes, Cokie is as hacktacular as they come) helpfully highlighted Bush's use of the L-word to describe Kerry's domestic agenda and Cokie strangely suggested that 'tort reform' could be the next big issue. Fareed Zakaria was about the only reasonable one on the panel. He simply said, "The war in Iraq is not popular" and went on to make the point that during Vietnam and Korea, both unpopular wars, the incumbent lost. No one had a response to that.
