Just a thought here. I watched a bit of Hardball live from the ASU campus last night. A casual look gave the impression that Kerry/Edwards signs dominated the scene. Yet when Matthews conducted a casual - and truly useless - poll by walking along the front line and asking kids who they were voting for, BC04 came out ahead. Hmmmm. Could it be that BC04 supporters are ruder and more aggressive, and pushed more people into the front line? Wouldn't know anything about that if you were listening to Matthews.
One other thought. A second informal front-row poll on support for the Iraq war showed a similar tilt. My daughter, who is 22 and just out of college, remarked that there was something more than a bit unseemly about war whoops coming from the mouths of college students safely ensconced at their Arizona campus. If they ar so gung-ho for the war, she said, why aren't they there fighting it?
Couldn't agree more. They're just like their hero George - avidly pro-war and avidly anti-fighting it.
