Post-Convention, Post-Terror Warning: Fox News shows Kerry bounce

I wouldn't doubt for a second that Fox commissioned a two-day poll, Aug. 3-4 in hopes of showing that the terror warnings hurt Kerry's standing. Since most other post-convention polls showed a small bounce or none at all, Fox probably hoped to show Kerry now trailing. However, the new Fox poll shows Kerry stronger then he's ever been in the history of the poll.
    (July 20-21 trend)Among likely voters:Kerry 47 (44), Bush 43(44), Nader 2(3)
It's also worth noting that this is the second or third poll to show Kerry's favorable rating having returned to February levels (hovering in the 50's). Aside from a 5-10 point rise in unfavorables, which is mostly a product of Kerry simply getting better known, the Bush advertising onslaught has had little or no effect, unless you are one who believes Kerry would be 15-20 points ahead otherwise. We seriously doubt that would have happened due to voters nostalgia for Bush's leadership (or lack thereof) after 9-11 and the fact that we are at war.
