Reagan dies, Kerry soars...

Two new polls out recently showing a surge in support for John Kerry.
    LA Times: Kerry, 51 (49); Bush, 44(46) 6/5-6/8(3/27-3/30)
    Gallup: Kerry, 50(49); Bush, 44(47) 6/3-6/6(5/21-5/23)

This marks the first time Kerry has reached or exceeded 50% in national polls. And while some will argue that other polls may not show as substantial a Kerry lead, the worst Kerry can be said to be doing is a tie with Bush.

If one looks at the fundamentals, like right track/wrong track and job approval, Bush is not doing well at all - in fact his numbers in those areas have always spelled defeat for an incumbent.
