The PDB is released

The Presidential Daily Briefing should be a hot topic on the Sunday morning shows tomorrow. The online edition of The Washington Post contains the following headlines:
Bush Warned of Possible Al Qaeda Attacks Before 9/11
Bush Gave No Sign of Worry In August 2001
There will no doubt be much discussion of this in the next few days but a particular paragraph in the WaPo's headline story referring to the title of the memo, Bin Laden determined to attack within the United States, caught my eye:
As one former administration official who has read the PDB said last week, "The agency doesn't write a headline like that if it doesn't want to get attention." In this case, the former official said, "the CIA did not believe Bush policymakers were taking the threat to the U.S. seriously."
