It's unfortunate that it has taken the deaths of nearly 50 American servicemen this past week to prove to Americans why Bush doesn't deserve another term.
As this Newsweek poll shows, despite spending $40 million + on TV ads over the last 5 weeks, Bush's favorable rating has dropped while Kerry's has stayed the same and during the last two weeks Kerry has surged ahead of the President in both the head to head matchup and in a three-way with Nader.
Favorable ratings:April 8-9 March (25-26)
Bush 48% (51)
Kerry51% (51)
This is the lowest favorable rating the President has ever had in a Newsweek poll.
General election matchup:April 8-9 (March 25-26):
Kerry 50% (48)
Bush 43% (47)
With Nader...
Kerry 46% (43)
Bush 42% (45)
Nader 4% (5)
