Ad Wars

Are Kerry and the 527's putting the squeeze on Bush's money?
Starting early next week, Bush will run previously released ads in a buy of at least $9.5 million. Recently, the campaign had scaled back its buy to a $4 million, 11-day ad run on stations in battleground states and national cable networks.
The Bush-Cheney campaign has broken all records in raising more than $180 million.
If the president hadn't increased his ad spending, Kerry and Democratic-leaning interest groups would have significantly outspent Bush on the air next week. Now, Bush and the Democrats will be running about even.
At this rate, as ToughEnough has contended all along, Kerry will be at financial parity with Bush by June, especially if Kerry keeps up his torrid fundraising pace.
