Kerry's standing is the same or better now than after the first debate in the following polls: Zogby (Bush +2), WaPo (Bush +3), Democracy Corps. (Kerry +3) Time (Bush +1). Kerry has slipped in Newsweek (Bush +2 among RVs) and Gallup (Bush +3 among RVs). Draw your own conclusions. But don't let the Gallup, prone to wild swings, spin you into thinking Bush is "surging."
