NY Times has a new poll showing a tie. Last week their poll had Bush ahead by 3 points. This corresponds with the Zogby and Rasmussen tracking polls we've seen today. It appears that Kerry had a couple bad nights of polling right after the debate, related perhaps to the nattering on cable and talk radio about the Mary Cheney comment. Now that the real issues have again taken front and center in the campaign dialogue, Kerry is on the move and the last two nights of polling have been much better for him.
Also, Bush's job approval is at 44% in this poll - a dangerous number for an incumbent. Most recent polls, with the exception of that "whacky" Gallup show Bush with a job approval that is below 50%.
